ROOM6 YELLOW LINE

The long yellow line.

We had to find out how long it would be if we lined up all of the yellow lines that make up the tennis courts on the top court of our school.

There were ten lines, some lines were the same length.
We only had to measure four lines.there were four twelve meterlines.

4 lines were 12 meters long (4 x 12 = 48)
4 lines were 6 meters long (6 x 4 = 24)
2 lines were 4 meters long (4 x 2 = 8)

So now we need to add 48 + 24 + 8 to get the total of the lines for 1 court:

48 + 8:  8 + 8 = 16 so 48 + 8 = 56
56 + 24: 50 + 20 = 70, 6 + 4 = 10, 70+10 = 80

so the total of the lines for one court is 80

There were 6 courts in total so we need to times 80 by 6 to get the answer.

80 x 6: 80 count in tens like,
80 + 8 = 160 160 + 160  = 320 + 160 = 480

So that means that if we lined up all of the yellow lines on the top court it would go for 480 meters,
